Patient Evaluation & Preparation: Our Practitioner will conduct a comprehensive medical history review to determine if the patient is a suitable candidate. We use the standard wrinkle assessment score (WAS) and photos to set expectations regarding possible cosmetic outcomes. SCULPTRA Aesthetic provides gradual improvement over several weeks, so only a limited correction should be done during the initial treatment. Injection Procedure: We use a sterile 26 G needle, ensuring it remains unclogged and unbent throughout. Inject SCULPTRA Aesthetic into the deep dermis using a threading or tunneling technique. Ensure the needle is in the deep dermal plane before injection, avoiding intravascular injections. The threading or tunneling technique involves depositing SCULPTRA Aesthetic while slowly retracting the needle. Follow the treatment plan, injecting in a grid pattern (cross-hatch). The maximum volume per injection should be between 0.1-0.2 mL and up to 2.5 mL per nasolabial fold per session. Later the massage is applied to the treatment area after every few injections to distribute the product evenly.
