IPL Technology is thought of as equivalent to cosmetic laser systems. Light is used in both IPL and laser but it is not only the light that you can see! Both visible light (blue, green red) and invisible light (UV and IR) are used. Treatments are suitable for all skin types (I-VI) and are completely safe for thin and delicate areas, including the neck and décolleté, as well as hands, arms, legs and stretch marks. Results include an improvement in the appearance of vascular and pigmented lesions, pore size reduction, and improved tone and texture for smooth, silky and shiny skin as well as permanent hair reduction.
Immediate skin tightening and glow
Restructure of the skin architecture
Helps to bolster the skin against future aging
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and it is suitable for the treatment of several skin concerns but has also become incredibly popular and effective for hair removal. Alma IPL removes the appearance of spots and skin hyperpigmentation by targeting the melanin in the darkened area and dispersing it.
The number of treatments required will depend on many factors, such as: skin colour, hair colour, genetic factors, and treatment levels used. In general, most people will require 6- 10 treatments at 6-8-week intervals and most clients will need some form of maintenance after their initial course of treatments. At Premium Clinic, our professionals will instruct you with any concerns.
IPLs are completely harmless and safe.
Recovery varies, and can take as long as 2-3 days.
The results are permanent and will be noticeable 3 months after treatment.
